Legal profession being the most important component of justice delivery system, it must continue to perform its significant role and regulatory mechanism and should not be seen to be wanting in taking prompt action against any malpractice, the Bench observed. The Supreme Court in Mahipal Singh Rana vs. State of Uttar Pradesh,has observed that there is an urgent need to review the provisions of the Advocates Act dealing with regulatory mechanism for the legal profession. Three Judge Bench comprising of Justices Anil R. Dave, Kurian Joseph and Adarsh Kumar Goel has requested the Law commission and Government of India to take appropriate steps in this regard. A Special CBI Court on Monday reportedly awarded five years imprisonment to current and former Bar Council of India (BCI) officials for taking bribe in lieu of granting approval to Law Colleges in the country. BCI Current Associate Managing Trustee Rajinder Singh Rana, former BCI Vice Chairman Raju Dhanpal Raj and ex-BCI member Milan Kumar Dey were awarded  the sentence along with a fine, by Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna in Patiala House, Delhi. The details with regard to the number of such incidents or the Law School(s) involved are not clear. While Legally India claims that bribe was taken from Global Law College in Ghaziabad, PTI claims involvement of School of Law Studies of Bulandshahr (UP). The judgment, however, may provide a resort to the speculations, when it states, “It is clear that the accused have been seeking bribe from old and new colleges as a matter of right. पार्यावरण संरक्षण के लिए मिला ग्रीन वारियर 2016 अवार्ड ===================================== बोकारोः जंगल बचाओ आंदोलन से जुडे सामाजिक कार्यकार्ता योगो पुर्ति को मुख्यमंत्री रघुवर दास ने पर्यावर ण संरक्षण की दिषा में सकारात्मक कार्य हेतु ग्रीन वारियर 2016 अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया। यह सम्मान  कार्यक्रम का आयोजन राॅची स्थित बीएनआर चाणक्य होटल में की गई थी।  कार्यक्रम में मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि योगो पूर्ति का प्रयास सराहनीय है। इन्होनें जंगल को बचाने के लिए लोगों को जगाने का कार्य किया है। ज्ञात हो कि पिछले दो दषक से योगो पूर्ति पर्यावरण को बचाने व संरक्षीत करने हेतु संघर्षरत है। उनके पहल से ही सतनपुर बांधगोड़ा पहाडी पुनः हरा भरा हुआ। दास ने कहा कि इसके अलावा पूर्ति ने भु-माफियाओं के खिलाफ भी आंदोलन का नेतृत्व किया जिसे उन्होंने अंजाम तक पहॅूचाया है। यह कार्यक्रम जी टिवी द्वारा आयोजित किया गया था जिसमें जी टिवी के निदेषक सुभाष चंद्रा सह राज्य सभा सांसद के अलावा वन पर्यावरण एवं जलवायु विभाग के मुख्य वन सरंक्षक षिव प्रसाद, झारखंड राज्य प्रदूषण बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष सीएस वर्मा, एनटीपीसी के

माल्या 9000 करोड़ लेकर भाग गया, जैसे कुछ हुआ ही नही. चीन सैकड़ो वर्ग किमी जमीन हड़प लेता है पर सरकार चूडियां पहने बैठी रहती है. लेकिन एक गरीब अपना पेट पालने के लिए फुटपाथ पर बैठ कर दो वक्त की रोटी का इंतजाम करता है, तो कुछ लोग अतिक्रमण हटाओ के नाम पर उस गरीब के पेट पर लात मारते है कि जैसे इसने भारत के हजारों किमी. जमीन पर कब्जा कर लिया हो।

डुमरी के विधायक जगरनाथ महतो की जमानत अर्जी  आज बोकारो के प्रधान जिला जज संजय प्रसाद की अदालत ने नामंजूर कर दी. उनपर बर्तमान में तिन मामले लंबित है जिसमे वे जेल में है. दो मामले में कोर्ट ने उन्हें राहत प्रदान कर दी परन्तु  दुग्दा थाना मामले में जमानत नामंजूर कर दी. जबकि तीनो मामलो में सुलह हो गया था. उसके बावजूद कोर्ट ने जमानत की अर्जी नामंजूर कर  दी.

हनुमान नगर को उजडने से बचाने के सवाल पर बोकारो समाहरणालय पर एकदिवसीय धरना बोकारोः हनुमान नगर सेक्टर 12 को उजाडने के सवाल पर जन अधिकार मंच व हनुमान नगर संघर्ष मोर्चा के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में बोकारो समाहरणालय पर एक दिवसीय धरना का आयोजन किया गया है। धरना में हनुमान नगर, जयपाल नगर, गुमला नगर, बिरसा बासा, उकरीद, बगराईबेडा, सतनपुर समेत विभिन्न गाॅवों  से पैदल जुलुस के सक्ल में सुबह से 10 बजे से बोकारो समाहरणालय स्थित धरना स्थल पर गीत गाते हुए गाजा बाजा के साथ लोगांे का जमावडा षुरू हो गया था। सभा कि अध्यक्षता अध्यक्षमंडली इमारत हुसैन अंसारी, छोटे लाल सोरेन, इमामुल हक अंसारी ने संयुक्त रूप से की। वहीं संचालन सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता राम दयाल सिंह गोकुल ने किया। सभा को संबोधित करते हुए राॅची से आये सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता सह वरिय पत्रकार प्रवीण कुमार ने कहा कि पूरे सूबे में झारखंड सरकार जन विरोधी कार्य में लगी हुई है। इसका एक मात्र मकषद गरिबों को उजाडकर अमीरों को सुविधा मुहैया करवाना रह गया है। साझा मंच के काषि नाथ केवट ने सभा के माध्यम से जनता को ललकारते हुए कहा कि अब बिना जन आंदोलन के कोइ अधिकार नही

   बोकारो में शनिवार को भारत के मुख्य न्यायधीश  श्री टी एस ठाकुर ने ऑनलाइन न्याय सदन  की  आधारशिला रखी. ज्ञात हो की मुख्य न्यायधीश झारखण्ड की राजधानी रांची में बार कौंसिल झारखण्ड द्वारा आयोजित सेमिनार में भाग लेने के लिए आये हुए थे. जहां उन्होंने अधिवक्ताओं  व  न्यायिक पदाधिकारियों को सम्बोधित किया।  इस अवसर अधिवक्ताओं को कानून के बारीकियों की  ट्रेनिंग देने के लिए एडवोकेट  एकेडमी का गठन किया गया है. इस अवसर पर बोकारो के प्रधान जिला जज संजय प्रसाद, प्रधान जज कुटुंब न्यायालय एके चतुर्बेदी, जिला जज  रंजीत कुमार, आर एस उपाधयाय,  सी जे एम प्रकाश झा, ए सी जे एम सचिंद्र बिरुआ, अधिवक्ता रणजीत गिरि , सुरेश कुमार, बिष्णु देव नायक, संतोष श्रीवास्तव, बिश्वजीत कुमार समेत सैकड़ो लोग उपस्थित थे।

 July 15, 2016  A two judge bench of the High court of Kerala, comprising of Justice V Chitambaresh and Justice K Ramakrishnan in Brenda Barbara Francis v Adrian Miranda has ruled that an advocate cannot plead and argue a case as a power of attorney holder on behalf of the parties. The petitioner who was represented by a power of attorney holder , who was also an advocate by profession, sought permission to canvass submissions in person on behalf of the said party before the court. Declining the said relief, the court held that only a person authorized to appear on behalf of the client can make submissions thereof. The court while drawing the distinction of power exercisable by a power of attorney holder / advocate observed that the latter held an exalted position as an officer of the court.
